Surah Al-Anbya — Verse 8

The Prophets · 21:8 · 8/112

وَمَا جَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ جَسَدًا لَّا يَأْكُلُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ خَـٰلِدِينَ

Wama jaAAalnahum jasadan laya'kuloona attaAAama wama kanookhalideen

Saheeh International

And We did not make them [i.e., the prophets] forms not eating food, nor were they immortal [on earth].

We did not give them bodies that ate no food, nor were they immortal.
