Surah At-Taghabun — Verse 14

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّ مِنْ أَزْوَٰجِكُمْ وَأَوْلَـٰدِكُمْ عَدُوًّا لَّكُمْ فَٱحْذَرُوهُمْ ۚ وَإِن تَعْفُوا۟ وَتَصْفَحُوا۟ وَتَغْفِرُوا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooinna min azwajikum waawladikum AAaduwwan lakum fahtharoohumwa-in taAAfoo watasfahoo wataghfiroo fa-inna Allahaghafoorun raheem

Saheeh International
O you who have believed, indeed, among your spouses and your children are enemies to you, so beware of them. But if you pardon and overlook and forgive - then indeed, Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful.

Believers, there are enemies to you from among your spouses and your off-spring, so beware of them. But if you forgive and overlook their offences and pardon them, then surely Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Compassionate.

قال تعالى: {يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِكُمْ وَأَوْلَادِكُمْ عَدُوًّا لَكُمْ فَاحْذَرُوهُمْ وَإِنْ تَعْفُوا وَتَصْفَحُوا وَتَغْفِرُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ (14)} [التغابن: 14].
304 - عَنِ ابْنِ عَباسٍ -رضي الله عنهما- وَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ عَنْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ: {يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِكُمْ وَأَوْلَادِكُمْ عَدُوًّا لَكُمْ فَاحْذَرُوهُمْ}، قَالَ: هَؤُلَاءِ رِجَالٌ أَسْلَمُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ، وَأَرَادُوا أَنْ يَأتُوا النَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -، فَأَبَى أَزْوَاجُهُمْ وَأَوْلَادُهُمْ أَنْ يَدَعُوهُمْ أَنْ يَأُتُوا رَسُولَ اللهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -، فَلَمَّا أَتَوْا رَسُولَ اللهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم - رَأَوْا النَّاسَ قَدْ فَقُهُوا فِي الدِّينِ، هَمُّوا أَنْ يُعَاقِبُوهُمْ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ - عز وجل -: {يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِكُمْ وَأَوْلَادِكُمْ عَدُوًّا لَكُمْ فَاحْذَرُوهُمْ} الْآيَة. واللفظ للترمذي ¬أخرجه الترمذي برقم: 3317، وابن جرير: 28/ 124، والحاكم: 2/ 490، والطبراني في الكبير برقم: 11720، وقال الترمذي: حسن صحيح، وصححه الحاكم ووافقه الذهبي والألباني، وزاد عزوه في الدر: 6/ 227 للفريابي وعبد بن حميد وابن المنذر وابن أبي حاتم وابن مردويه.¥.
