Surah Al-Baqarah — Verse 8

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَقُولُ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَبِٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ وَمَا هُم بِمُؤْمِنِينَ

Wamina annasi man yaqoolu amannabiAllahi wabilyawmi al-akhiri wamahum bimu'mineen

Translations of this verse 7

And of the people are some who say, "We believe in Allāh and the Last Day," but they are not believers.

Some people say, ‘We believe in God and the Last Day,’ when really they do not believe.

And of mankind are some who say: We believe in Allah and the Last Day, when they believe not.

Of the people there are some who say: "We believe in Allah and the Last Day;" but they do not (really) believe.

And among men there are some who say, “We believe in Allah and in the Last Day”, yet they are not believers.

And of mankind, there are some (hypocrites) who say: "We believe in Allâh and the Last Day" while in fact they believe not.

There are some who say: “We believe in Allah and in the Last Day,” while in fact they do not believe.
