Surah Ghafir — Verse 63

The Forgiver · 40:63 · 63/85

كَذَٰلِكَ يُؤْفَكُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ يَجْحَدُونَ

Kathalika yu'faku allatheena kanoobi-ayati Allahi yajhadoon

Translations of this verse 11

Thus were those [before you] deluded who were rejecting the signs of Allāh.

This is how deluded those who deny God’s messages are.

Thus are they perverted who deny the revelations of Allah.

Thus are deluded those who are wont to reject the Signs of Allah.

Similarly reversed were those who used to deny Our verses.

Thus were turned away those who used to deny the Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh.

Thus it is only those who had denied Allah's Signs that were led astray.

[For] thus it is: perverted are the minds of those who knowingly reject God’s messages.

This is how those who rejected Allah’s signs were deluded.

(63) Thus were those [before you] deluded who were rejecting the signs of Allāh.

63. Thus were turned away those who used to deny the Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh.
