Surah Ali 'Imran — Verse 86

كَيْفَ يَهْدِى ٱللَّهُ قَوْمًا كَفَرُوا۟ بَعْدَ إِيمَـٰنِهِمْ وَشَهِدُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱلرَّسُولَ حَقٌّ وَجَآءَهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
Kayfa yahdee Allahu qawman kafaroobaAAda eemanihim washahidoo anna arrasoola haqqunwajaahumu albayyinatu wallahu layahdee alqawma aththalimeen

Saheeh International
How shall Allāh guide a people who disbelieved after their belief and had witnessed that the Messenger is true and clear signs had come to them? And Allāh does not guide the wrongdoing people.

قال تعالى: {كَيْفَ يَهْدِي اللَّهُ قَوْمًا كَفَرُوا بَعْدَ إِيمَانِهِمْ وَشَهِدُوا أَنَّ الرَّسُولَ حَقٌّ وَجَاءَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ (86)} [آل عمران: 86].
76 - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسِ -رضي الله عنهما- قَالَ: كَانَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ أَسْلَمَ ثُمَّ ارْتَدَّ وَلَحِقَ بِالشرْكِ، ثُمَّ تَنَدَّمَ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى قَوْمِهِ: سَلُوا لِي رَسُولَ اللّه - صلى الله عليه وسلم - هَلْ لِي مِنْ تَوْبَةٍ؟ فَجَاءَ قَوْمُهُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللّه - صلى الله عليه وسلم - فَقَالُوا: إِنَّ فُلاناً قَدْ نَدِمَ، وَإِنَّهُ أَمَرَنَا أَنْ نَسْأَلَكَ هَلْ لَهُ مِنْ تَوْبَةٍ؟ فَنَزَلَتْ {كَيْفَ يَهْدِي اللَّهُ قَوْمًا كَفَرُوا بَعْدَ إِيمَانِهِمْ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ {غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ} فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ، فَأَسْلَمَ ¬أخرجه النَّسَائِيّ في الصغرى: 7/ 107 برقم: 4068، والكبرى برقم: 3531، 11065، والطحاوي في مشكل الآثار برقم: 2869، والطبري برقم: 7360، 7362، وابن حبان برقم: 4477، والحاكم: 2/ 142، 4/ 366، والواحدي في أسباب النزول: ص 75، وأحمد: 1/ 247، والبيهقي: 8/ 197، وصححه الحاكم ووافقه الذهبي، وقال ابن كثير في التفسير: 2/ 58 - 59 إسناده جيد، وصححه أحمد شاكر برقم: 2218، والحديث صحيح كما قالوا: ويرى شيخنا العلامة فضل عباس أن هذا السبب الذي ذكره ابن عباس -رضي الله عنهما- لا ينسجم مع سياق الآيات التي تتحدث عن أهل الكتاب.
