Surah Al-Baqarah — Verse 115

وَلِلَّهِ ٱلْمَشْرِقُ وَٱلْمَغْرِبُ ۚ فَأَيْنَمَا تُوَلُّوا۟ فَثَمَّ وَجْهُ ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ
Walillahi almashriqu walmaghribufaaynama tuwalloo fathamma wajhu Allahi inna AllahawasiAAun AAaleem

Saheeh International
And to Allāh belongs the east and the west. So wherever you [might] turn, there is the Face of Allāh. Indeed, Allāh is all-Encompassing and Knowing.

قال تعالى: {وَلِلَّهِ الْمَشْرِقُ وَالْمَغْرِبُ فَأَيْنَمَا تُوَلُّوا فَثَمَّ وَجْهُ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ (115)} [البقرة: 115].
6 - عن جابر بن عبد الله -رضي الله عنهما- قال: بعث رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم -، سرية كنت فيها، فأصابتنا ظلمة فلم نعرف القبلة. فقالت طائفة منا: قد عرفنا القبلة، هي ها هنا قبل الشمال، فصلوا وخطوا خطوطاً، وقال بعضنا: القبلة ها هنا قبل الجنوب، وخطوا خطوطاً. فلما أصبحوا وطلعت الشمس، أصبحت تلك الخطوط لغير القبلة. فلما قفلنا من سفرنا سألنا النبي عن ذلك، فسكت، وأنزل الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {وَلِلَّهِ الْمَشْرِقُ وَالْمَغْرِبُ فَأَيْنَمَا تُوَلُّوا فَثَمَّ وَجْهُ} أي حيث كنتم ¬أخرجه الدارقطني في السنن: 1/ 271 برقم: 3، 4، والبيهقي في السنن: 2/ 10، 11، 12، والحاكم: 1/ 206 - 207، وإسناده فيه ضعف ولكنه يحسن لشواهده ومتابعاته، وقد مال السيوطي إلى تحسينه، وتابعه أحمد شاكر في تعليقه على الترمذي، والألباني في إرواء الغليل برقم: 291.¥.
