Surah Al-Ma'idah — Verse 59

قُلْ يَـٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ هَلْ تَنقِمُونَ مِنَّآ إِلَّآ أَنْ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَمَآ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلُ وَأَنَّ أَكْثَرَكُمْ فَـٰسِقُونَ
Qul ya ahla alkitabi haltanqimoona minna illa an amanna billahiwama onzila ilayna wama onzila min qabluwaanna aktharakum fasiqoon

Saheeh International
Say, "O People of the Scripture, do you resent us except [for the fact] that we have believed in Allāh and what was revealed to us and what was revealed before and because most of you are defiantly disobedient?"

Say [Prophet], ‘People of the Book, do you resent us for any reason other than the fact that we believe in God, in what has been sent down to us, and in what was sent before us, while most of you are disobedient?’

Say: O People of the Scripture! Do ye blame us for aught else than that we believe in Allah and that which is revealed unto us and that which was revealed aforetime, and because most of you are evil-livers?

قال تعالى: {قُلْ يَاأَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ هَلْ تَنْقِمُونَ مِنَّا إِلَّا أَنْ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَمَا أُنْزِلَ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَأَنَّ أَكْثَرَكُمْ فَاسِقُونَ (59)} [المائدة: 59].
160 - عن ابن عباس -رضي الله عنهما- قال: أتى رسولَ الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - نفرٌ من اليهود، فيهم أبو ياسر بن أخطب، ورافع بن أبي رافع، وعازر، وزيد، وخالد، وأزار بن أبي أزار، وأشيع، فسألوه عمن يؤمن به من الرسل.
قال: "أؤمن بالله وما أنزل إلينا، وما أنزل إلى إبراهيم وإسماعيل وإسحاق ويعقوب والأسباط، وما أوتي موسى وعيسى، وما أوتي النبيون إِلَّا أَنْ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَمَا أُنْزِلَ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَأَنَّ أَكْثَرَكُمْ فَاسِقُونَ (59)} ¬أخرجه ابن جرير: 6/ 292 برقم: 12219، وابن إسحاق: 2/ 208 - 209 وزاد الشوكاني في فتح القدير: 2/ 80 لابن المنذر وابن أبي حاتم وأبي الشيخ. وإسناده حسن.¥.
